Age Divisions, Official Rules, & Fees for 2002 Pageant America
Age Divisions, Official Rules & Entry Fee

The Age 6 Age Divisions for the 2002 Pageant America Competition are as follows:
Please note that these divisions may be added, dropped or ammended depending on the number of entered contestants.
Jr. Miss Division- Ages 9-12
Teen Miss Division- Ages 13-16
Miss Division- Ages 17- 20
Ms. Division- Ages 21 - 33
Elite Ms. Division- Ages 34 - 46
Elegant Ms. Division- Ages 47+



The official rules for Competition in the Divisional, Optional and all other events in the Pageant America Comeptition are:

To enter the 2002 Pageant America Competition a contestant must:
be a native born or naturalized citizen of the United States of America.
be born female and be at least 9 years of age by March 1st, 2002.
supply the pageant office with all required pageant documents and fees by the deadline of  February 8, 2002.
understand that all entry fees and other fees are non-refundable, even in the event of disqualification
 or withdrawal from the pageant.
be willing and able to supply the pageant office with documented proof of age, citizenship or
current place of residence if they should be needed or requested.
have your parent's or legal guardian's permission to compete if you are currently under the age of 18 years.


Rules & Pageant Policy

1.) Contestant understands that all their travel, hotel, meal, and other incidental expenses incurred by the
contestant are the financial responsibility of the contestant. Other than the those specific items/services included with the basic entry fee, Pageant America is under no obligation to supply an additional items or services to contestants.

2.) Contestants are not required to stay at the Host Location hotel if they within the general area of the pageant
location or chose to stay at another location within the area of the Host Location. Those contestants choosing not to
stay at the host location are responsible to make their own transportation to the host location for required pageant
activities. Those contestants fail to attend required contestant activites will be penialized for it in the pageant scoring.

3.) Contestants under the age of 18 years are required to accompanied by a chaperone or legal guardian while at the Pageant America Competition. The hotel, meal, travel and contestant activites for chaperones are not included with the basic cost of entry. The Pageant Ameica Staff will not be responsible to supervise those contestants under the age of 18.

4.) The Pageant America Competition will not be held responsible or liable to any contestants that may sustain personal injury, or property damage or loss while travelling to or from the 2002 Pageant America Copetition, or while they are attending or competing at the 2002 Pageant America Comeptition.

5.) Contestants understand that they are responsible to make their own travel and hotel arrangements and reservations.
Pageant America has arranged for a block of hotel rooms at our host location to be reserved for pageant contestants. It is up to contestants to make their own reservations with the host location, being sure to advise the staff they are with the pageant. Rooms at a reserved rate for pageant contestants are available in a limited number and on a first come first serve basis. Contestants are encouraged to make their hotel reservations prior to February 10, 2002.

6.) Contestants understand that failure to attend or participate in required pageant activites will result in
point deductions from pageant scores, or complete disqualification from the Pageant, Optional and/or Side Award
competitions. Contestants understand that displays of poor attitude or bad sportsmanship will result in
point deductions from pageant scores, or complete disqualification from the Pageant, Optional and/or Side Award competitions.

7.) Contestants understand that failure to provide ALL necessary paperwork and fees for the Pageant Competition,
Optional Competitions, and/or National Side Award Cometitions must be in the pageant office on February 8, 2002,
unless otherwise specified. Anyone failing to provide the neccessary materials/fees by this date will be disqualified from any and /or all 2002 events and/or competitions with no refunds of any payment or money already paid to the pageant.

8.) Contestants agree that the decisions of the Pageant Staff and 2002 Judges Panel are final.

9.) Potential Contestants understand that the Pageant America Competition reserves the right to use it's discretion
 in reviewing and accepting contestants. Any persons known to us to have displayed bad sportmanship or
attitude in the past may be discluded from entering the Pageant America Competition.




The cost to enter the 2002 Pageant America competition is $275.00 per contestant.
This fee includes: the right to compete for your age division's National Title, National
Side Awards, your picture and name in the Program Book, one ticket to the Delegate's
Luncheon, one ticket to the Awards Breakfast, and one ticket to the Talent Competition*.
